Hi, I'm Katy

I’m an occupational therapist who is dedicated to helping individuals occupy themselves in meaningful activities. Whether you are facing barriers, stressors, trauma, substance use, or mental illness, I’ll partner with you to develop practical skills and work toward your goals.

Engaging in meaningful activities will improve overall health, wellness, and quality of life. Occupational therapy aims to develop life skills, including emotional regulation, symptom management, cognitive strategies, sensory processing, and social skills in order to fully participate in daily activities.

ABOUT ME

MY APPROACH

I value collaboration and partnership, prioritizing your unique experiences, motivations, and goals. Using a holistic approach, we will address emotional, social, and physical health to improve your life satisfaction.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

The therapy journey is a collaborative experience that looks and feels different for each client.  I strive to meet each client where they are and use modalities that are tailored to each individual.  Although the healing journey is complex, I recognize that this will not be an easy process, so if the results you hope for are not happening, we can work together to establish a solid foundation of where you aspire to be.

What is Occupational Therapy?

The bridge between "mind" and "body".

Occupational Therapists are specially trained and educated in neuroscience, anatomy and physiology, sensory modulation, activity and environmental analysis, and occupational performance. Within the context of Occupational Therapy, occupation is defined as “the meaningful activities that make up an individual’s day” and is the only profession that helps people across the lifespan to do what they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of daily occupations.

I specialize in addressing the psychosocial needs of clients across the lifespan. I focus on a client’s mental wellbeing, their environment, and their daily occupations and base interventions on what's practical for my clients. My goal is to work with clients and collaborate on ways to improve the client’s overall quality of life.

Whether you need assistance with development, sensory needs, or behavior of your child or you’re an adult seeking purpose and meaning in life through a transitional period. Psychosocial Occupational Therapy can assist you in reaching your goals and creating a life worth living!
