About me
Hi! I'm April.
How can I help you today?
I want to encourage you to not be scared or ashamed of counseling. Think of it as mental maintenance. For couples, I even refer to sessions as marriage maintenance.
Whether you’re a woman struggling with being a first-time mother, or a couple living as “roommates” rather than teammates, let’s work together to process the difficult emotions and find clarity in the uncertainty.

ABOUT ME
MY APPROACH
I’m a counselor-in-training graduating in 2026 with an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I desire to help couples mold marriages that flourish, and believe it or not, are even fun! I believe with the right tools, couples can work through life’s challenges together. My journey into the counseling field began with a desire to help couples build strong, lasting partnerships rooted in trust, joy, and emotional intimacy.
TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY
I also have a special passion for supporting women. Whether you’re navigating burnout or feeling disconnected, let’s work together to rediscover your voice and experience life with renewed energy and joy.

My approach to counseling is warm yet practical. I integrate solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and The Gottman Method to support both individuals and couples in achieving meaningful, lasting change. These evidence-based models help improve communication, increase emotional connection, and build on your strengths to move forward.

What is Psychotherapy?
More than just a "paid best friend".
Therapy is about learning new ways to improve our relationship with ourselves, other people, and the world around us.
Our therapists work hard to create an environment of safety and trust so that you can work through difficulties of the past or present while learning the tools you'll need to succeed in the future.
We are trained in a variety of approaches including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and mindfulness-based interventions. We work together as a cohesive team to treat a wide variety of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and more. Our providers will collaborate with you to create a treatment approach that best fits your needs.
