About me

Hi! I'm Janie.
How can I help you today?

Sometimes the ways we’ve learned to cope, connect, or protect ourselves stop working as well as they once did. Therapy gives us space to get curious about those patterns and better understand what shaped them.

I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, relationships, identity, family-of-origin concerns, and the impact substance use can have on our lives and relationships.

ABOUT ME

MY APPROACH

My approach is warm, curious, collaborative, and active. Therapy with me isn’t just about identifying where a pattern came from- it’s also about deciding what you want to do with that understanding. We can work on building greater flexibility in how you think and respond, developing new skills, and practicing different ways of relating to yourself and the people in your life.

I don’t believe there is one “right” way to do therapy or to be a person. We’ll make space for both emotion and reason, explore different perspectives, and figure out what makes sense for you. You don’t have to come in knowing exactly what needs to change- we can start with what’s happening now and get curious together.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

We all develop ways of coping, connecting, and making sense of ourselves and the world around us. Some of those patterns serve us well, while others may begin to feel limiting or keep showing up in ways we don’t fully understand. Therapy can give us space to slow down, get curious about what’s happening beneath the surface, and become more intentional about what we want to carry forward and what we might want to change.

I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, relationships, identity, family-of-origin concerns, and the impact substance use can have on our lives and relationships. I’m especially interested in how our experiences shape the way we see ourselves, understand our relationships, and navigate the world around us.
