The Whole Mom Collective

If you're exhausted, running on empty, and can't remember the last time you felt like yourself -- you're not alone, and you don't have to keep pushing through. Whole Mom Collective is a 6-week group for moms who are ready to stop surviving and start living. Together, we'll explore what burnout really is, how stress affects your body, and how to reconnect with your own needs in a space built on honesty, community, and real support.

Build a life worth living

April Hudson

Clinical Intern

Hi! I'm April.

I want to encourage you to not be scared or ashamed of counseling. Think of it as mental maintenance.

Whether you’re a woman struggling with being a first-time mother, or a couple living as “roommates” rather than teammates, let’s work together to process the difficult emotions and find clarity in the uncertainty.

I have a special passion for supporting women. Whether you’re navigating burnout or feeling disconnected, let’s work together to rediscover your voice and experience life with renewed energy and joy.

My approach to counseling is warm yet practical. I integrate solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and The Gottman Method to support both individuals and couples in achieving meaningful, lasting change. These evidence-based models help improve communication, increase emotional connection, and build on your strengths to move forward.

Hi! I'm Sharon.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and a therapist at Mind The Gap, an integrative therapy practice in Murfreesboro, TN.

My approach is deeply integrative and trauma-informed. I draw from modalities like EMDR, Internal Family Systems, somatic practices, and DBT — tools that help you connect with your nervous system, your body, and your inner truth.

I’m drawn to a group-based experience like this series because I believe transformation is rarely a solo journey. There’s power in shared intention, mutual support, and witnessing others do the hard work of rebuilding alongside you. I’ve seen how trauma, overwhelm, and old patterns can leave people feeling stuck or disconnected — and I’ve also witnessed how community, structure, and compassionate guidance can help people rediscover hope, clarity, and a renewed sense of self.

If you’re ready to slow down, listen to what your body and heart are trying to tell you, and build a plan that honors your real life (not some “perfect” version of it), I’d love to walk this path with you.

This Group Is Perfect For You, If...

AOTA Conference Attendee - 2025

"Best three hr workshop I’ve been to at AOTA. The speakers were relatable, fluent, real, and overall easy to listen to. They provided a ton of information but laid out in an great and easy format that could be followed and used in the future."

The Whole Mom Collective

We walk you through all you need to know to feel less burnt out and more connected!

You'll Learn About:

Burnout, Defined

We'll cut through the noise and name what's actually happening. Burnout isn't a character flaw -- it's a predictable response to prolonged depletion.

How Your Body Holds Stress

Stress doesn't just live in your head; it settles into your body in ways you may not even recognize. We'll explore what that looks like and why it matters.

Rediscovering & Naming Your Needs

Somewhere along the way, your needs got moved to the bottom of the list. This group helps you find them again -- and gives you permission to act on them.

The Power of Community

There is something that happens when moms sit in a room and realize they're not the only one. Connection itself is part of the healing.

Rest As Resilience

In a culture that glorifies busy, choosing rest is a radical act. We'll explore what real rest looks like and how to actually access it.

About Our PRactice

Health professions traditionally exist in silos: isolated from one another and deeply specialized. This isn't inherently a bad thing, but it means that important pieces of our clients overall healthcare slipped through the gaps between services. So an idea was born: to offer mental health services that spanned the space between mental and physical domains. OT is often utilized in a physical health setting and counseling is primarily utilized in a mental health setting. By combining and collaborating, we weave together a safety net.

We invite you to join us in cultivating a soft landing place for all those that slip through the gaps in our healthcare system. We invite you to help us Mind The Gap.
