About me

Hi! I'm Lu.
How can I help you today?

I was born in a small village in the central part of China. After I finished my undergraduate degree in English Education and my first master’s degree in English Literature from China, I decided to switch my career path to counseling because I saw how important mental health is for students to succeed in the classroom.

I have served as a licensed school counselor for 8 years in Shanghai, China, providing counseling services to international school students. This experience allowed me the opportunity to work with adolescents and their families from all over the world, providing me with unique multicultural counseling experiences. I also volunteered for Lifeline China, the only English-speaking crisis helpline. I moved to Tennessee in 2022 and continued to work as a school counselor and mental health therapist.
